She recently concluded a five-year term serving on the Leadership Team, and continues to as a director for Crossways in Common, the multi-use building created with community partners to serve the West Broadway neighbourhood.
Alison is a passionate supporter of a wide variety of arts and cultural organizations, notably her involvement with the Manitoba Craft Council as past president, and coordinating one of the La Cuisine volunteer crews at Winnipeg Folk Festival. For her, being engaged in the wider community opens up opportunities to see God at work in the world. Alison offers her gifts and creativity in many ways and places so that beauty, love, and peace might flourish. Living in the inner city, close to her heart are her neighbours, whose diversity and strength daily offer lessons of seeking justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly.
